SCOOTER RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
(Effective in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic)
These Terms and Conditions (“Agreement”) govern the rental of scooters provided by [Your Company Name] (“WeGo Scooter Rental') to the customer (“Renter”). By renting a scooter from us, you agree to all of the terms stated below.
1. RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Renter must be at least 18 years old and present a valid driver’s license authorizing the operation of motor scooters.

A passport or national ID and a refundable security deposit (cash or card) are required at pickup.

The scooter must be used only by the registered renter and not subleased or transferred to another person.

2. RENTAL PERIOD AND RETURN

The rental period starts upon pickup and ends upon return of the scooter and keys.

Late returns may incur additional charges according to the hourly or daily rate.

The scooter must be returned to the agreed location, in the same condition as received, with the same fuel level.

3. RATES, PAYMENTS, AND DEPOSIT

All rental fees, fuel, and optional services must be paid in advance.

A security deposit of [amount of $200.00USD] will be held during the rental period and refunded after inspection, provided no damage or loss occurs.

4. USE OF THE SCOOTER

The scooter may only be used within the province of Puerto Plata, unless otherwise authorized in writing.

The renter must operate safely, wearing a helmet at all times, and comply with all local traffic laws.

The scooter may not be used:

Under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or medication impairing driving ability.

For racing, towing, off-road use, or illegal activities.
-
With more passengers than allowed (maximum 2 persons per scooter).

5. DAMAGE, LOSS, AND RESPONSIBILITY

The renter is fully responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the scooter or accessories during the rental period.

In case of accident or damage:

Notify the Company immediately.

Do not leave the scooter unattended without proper security.
-
A police report may be required for insurance or deposit purposes.

The Company reserves the right to charge repair or replacement costs from the security deposit or via credit card authorization.
6. INSURANCE

Basic liability coverage may be included as per Dominican Republic regulations.

The renter is responsible for any damages not covered by insurance, including negligence or breach of these Terms.

Optional additional coverage may be available upon request.
7. BREAKDOWN OR ACCIDENT

In the event of a mechanical issue not caused by misuse, contact the Company for assistance.

If an accident occurs, the renter must:

Remain at the scene (if safe).

Contact local authorities and the Company.
-
Not admit fault or negotiate with third parties.

8. CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations made 24 hours before pickup are fully refundable.
-
Cancellations made less than 24 hours prior or no-shows are subject to a one-day rental charge.
9. PERSONAL BELONGINGS
The Company is not responsible for loss or damage of personal items left on the scooter or at our premises.
10. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts of Puerto Plata.
11. ACCEPTANCE
By signing below or completing the rental booking, the renter acknowledges having read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
